This is Hoàng. I am a finance professional with more than 13 years of experience. I started my professional career at Deloitte for 5 years, followed by 2.5 years at a technology startup that successfully raised nearly USD 8.5 million in a Series A funding round. Now I have been working for a private debt fund for almost 5 years where I built the credit underwriting function from the ground up.
Earlier in my career, I was passionate about writing and sharing perspectives with readers. Over time, however, that habit gradually faded as work became more demanding and certain career goals remained unfinished. I am now making a conscious effort to set aside personal time to resume sharing my views on finance, business, and investment-related topics.
I have come to realize that the best way to truly understand an issue is to write it down and engage with it deeply and thoughtfully. I tend to approach problems through first-principles thinking, i.e. breaking complex issues down into simpler, more fundamental components in order to truly understand their underlying meaning, rather than relying on widely circulated “advice” across today’s digital platforms.I hope my reflections would be useful to you.
